About Turtle Bay Divers

Operating in Perhentian waters for decades, Turtle Bay Divers has established a reputation for reliable operations and strong local knowledge. The centre runs daily boat and shore dives, offers a selection of PADI courses from Open Water to Advanced, and provides high-quality rental gear. The Perhentian area features a variety of dive experiences – healthy coral gardens, coral bommies, wrecks and sheltered bays. Turtle Bay commonly runs trips to notable sites such as Sugar Wreck, Police Wreck and Secret Wreck. These sites offer a mix of easy dives suitable for newer divers and deeper, more adventurous dives for experienced divers. During the season, the warm water (around 29–30°C) and generally good visibility create excellent conditions for both photography and relaxed exploring.

For beginners, the PADI Open Water course at Turtle Bay is structured to build confidence through confined-water practice followed by supervised ocean dives. Advanced students can pursue deeper dives, navigation skills and specialty modules. The dive team places strong emphasis on safety, comfortable progression and small group sizes to keep instructor-to-student ratios favourable.

Turtle Bay’s rental equipment is maintained to a high standard, and the centre provides cylinder fills, weight systems and secure storage for personal gear. Boat procedures are efficient, with clear briefings and hands-on support during entries and surface recoveries.
