Training & Dive Activities

Masktank Scuba runs regular, structured pool sessions at Kelab Tasik Putrajaya and selected pools in the Putrajaya/Cyberjaya/Dengkil area. These sessions are designed to help new divers build essential skills – from buoyancy control and mask clearing to regulator recovery – in a calm and supervised environment before progressing to open-water dives.
Courses emphasise step-by-step progression: theory and briefings are followed by confined-water practice, then supervised open-water dives. Masktank follows PADI standards closely, so every student receives the same solid skill foundation recognized worldwide.
The team of dive professionals includes experienced instructors such as Abang Sam (Paksu), Farhan and Deen, who bring a mix of teaching experience, hospitality and local dive knowledge to each course. Instructors focus on patient, safety-first coaching – they’re known for making learners feel comfortable, answering questions thoroughly and tailoring pacing to each student’s confidence level. Beyond training, Masktank organises seasonal group trips to popular Malaysian dive sites – Perhentian, Tioman, Pulau Tenggol – and to Sabah’s famous Mabul/Sipadan when schedules allow. Trips prioritise small-group supervision, clear dive briefings, and thoughtfully planned itineraries so divers can focus on enjoying marine life and improving their skills.
Equipment rental is available for all levels, with well-maintained BCDs, regulators, masks and wetsuits provided. The instructors help divers with gear selection and fitting to make sure everyone is comfortable before entering the water. Whether you’re a nervous beginner or upgrading to advanced courses, the Masktank team supports your progress.
